How we can help

Common reasons to get in touch

  • Foot, ankle, knee or hip pain affecting classes or rehearsals
  • Discomfort with jumps, landings, turns or particular positions
  • Finding a way back to dance after an injury or time away

Another concern? Ask us whether we can help.

At PhysioB, we look at your symptoms, movement and daily activities to understand what may be contributing, then agree a plan with you.

  1. Initial assessment

We discuss your symptoms, assess movement and establish your goals.

  2. Custom treatment plan

Your assessment and everyday needs guide the approach we agree together.

  3. Progress tracking

We review how you are responding and adjust your plan when needed.

Your physiotherapy assessment

Tell us about the dance styles you practise and the movements you are finding difficult. Your assessment considers symptoms, movement and the demands of classes or rehearsals. Together we can set rehabilitation goals that relate to your dancing, whether that means returning to a social class or preparing for a performance.

Your assessment is the starting point for an individual plan. You do not need to choose a treatment yourself - we’ll discuss the options at your visit.

What to discuss at your assessment

  • Your dance styles, weekly classes, rehearsal schedule and recent changes
  • The movements or positions that bring on symptoms and how you feel the next day
  • Footwear, floor surfaces and any changes in jumping, turning or partner work
  • Earlier injuries, treatment and any relevant medical advice or reports
  • Upcoming classes or performances and what you would like to manage more comfortably

Before your appointment

What happens at the first visit?

You will discuss your symptoms, their history and your goals. Your physiotherapist will assess you and discuss a plan with you. Treatment is selected according to your individual circumstances.

What should I bring?

Bring relevant medical documents and details of previous treatment. If you are unsure which session length to choose, ask before arranging a visit.

How many visits will I need?

Your plan depends on the assessment, your goals and progress. The name of a condition alone does not determine a fixed number of visits.
