Physiotherapy for runners in Ealing

Whether you run for a quiet half-hour outdoors or are working towards a race, pain can disrupt your routine. Start with an assessment that considers your symptoms, recent training and the running you want to get back to.

How we can help

Common reasons to get in touch

  • Pain during or after running that keeps interrupting your sessions
  • Discomfort when increasing distance, adding hills or changing pace
  • Uncertainty about returning to running after an injury or a break

Another concern? Ask us whether we can help.

At PhysioB, we look at your symptoms, movement and daily activities to understand what may be contributing, then agree a plan with you.

  1. Initial assessment

We discuss your symptoms, assess movement and establish your goals.

  2. Custom treatment plan

Your assessment and everyday needs guide the approach we agree together.

  3. Progress tracking

We review how you are responding and adjust your plan when needed.

Your physiotherapy assessment

At your appointment, we discuss when symptoms appear and how they affect both running and everyday movement. Bring a picture of a typical training week, including rest days and other exercise. Your assessment helps us agree rehabilitation goals and consider how a return to running fits around your routine.

Your assessment is the starting point for an individual plan. You do not need to choose a treatment yourself - we’ll discuss the options at your visit.

What to discuss at your assessment

  • Where you feel symptoms, when they begin during a run and how they feel afterwards
  • Recent changes in weekly distance, pace, hills, running surfaces or footwear
  • How walking, stairs, work and sleep are affected between runs
  • Previous injuries, treatment and any relevant medical advice or reports
  • Your usual running routine, any event you have in mind and time available for rehabilitation

Before your appointment

What happens at the first visit?

You will discuss your symptoms, their history and your goals. Your physiotherapist will assess you and discuss a plan with you. Treatment is selected according to your individual circumstances.

What should I bring?

Bring relevant medical documents and details of previous treatment. If you are unsure which session length to choose, ask before arranging a visit.

How many visits will I need?

Your plan depends on the assessment, your goals and progress. The name of a condition alone does not determine a fixed number of visits.
